I'm so lucky to have met so many nice people in the 6 years that I've lived in Dallas. The bestest, nicest person I met is, of course, my husband Les. When I moved here for a job 6 years ago, I never would have predicted that I'd be living in Oak Cliff, married, 3 dogs, working for a completely different, wonderful company, with lots of interesting diverse friends today. Someone once said to me that for a lot of people, their hometown is the place where they found themselves. I guess that's Dallas for me.
Last night we met some new friends from Fort Worth that Les had gotten to know on a Ricoh photography website. Lovely, interesting people who are lucky enough to already be retired and doing nothing but traveling at a very young age. We went to Kavalah for dinner and then to Martha and Bryan's for dessert. Craig apparently didn't feel ready for a photo-op, since he is hiding behind a pillow. Thanks to UncaMikey for the photo.....
